Your characters would know that, as an other-planar entity, the Cube is the safest place to be. The Cube (per Vladendorius) is also Anthraxus’ conveyance, i.e. vehicle. Somewhere inside may be the source of the Cube’s power and source of the denizen’s defensive “shield”.

(Star Trek – Who Mourns for Adonis episode)

If the Cube is a true tesseract, there are up to 40 interior encounter areas. You have entered 7 of them.

I'd opt for finding the source then. Going back in is a daring gamble.

You still have the option to do spell alchemy.

Right, I just need to look over how many spells we’ve used up and over of potions before deciding to go right back at it or explore for an alternative.

I have another option; a summoned creature that, kept in proximity, would nullify the defensive shield. Similar to those creatures used in the Thrawn Star Wars book trilogy that nullified the Force.

I thought I had a solution, was going to use Animal Summoning III to help us, similar to the mastodon.

But that only summons animals in the vicinity, not useful inside the Cube.

My spells are better used for healing, adding modifiers and plane/dimension shift.

If you combine spells, you could summon an interdimensional creature that would be used as I stated above.

I thought of that “combo” too, to use Gate to bring a bad ass good guy from the Cyrgypt mythos and stack some fate points on to ensure it works.

Yes, don’t forget the Fate points. Also, you may use the DCC Luck (Fate) point rules that a Thief may gift fate points to others at a rate of 1:2. Every point the Thief gifts = 2 points another may use.

Don

I’m pretty limited in my knowledge of magic. This is the best idea I’ve found.

There is a 6th level priest spell, Forbiddance (pg 228 2e PHB) or the Wizard spell Globe of Invulnerability (pg 177 2e PHB)

Both are meant to protect an area; but if we can modify spells, it could be used as a type of cell to hold her.

Could we combine that with a modified Energy Drain (pg 194)

Or maybe using the modified Gate spell to bring in some back-up
