For every idea, I’ll assign a difficulty for success.
In DCC, spell casters can “spell burn” and gain adders to die rolls by temporarily sacrificing physical attribute points.

I think we should play it as like we are remotely communicating with Vladendorius and he is advising us on which is probably the best idea. But we won’t really know until we go back in and try it.

^ Good idea. Yes, he would point you in the right direction (methods to use) but can’t guarantee success (roll of the die)
Once the defensive shields are nullified, you can slug it out with normal damage from weapons and spells, except if the weapon doesn’t have a high enough plus.

We could maybe use the entity with Vanguard’s sword SoulThorn to boost any spells since it hates extra-planar beings.
Otherwise, he only has Ranger spells that probably wouldn’t work here. Vanguard still has “Ravenswarm” available (if it functions) which not only causes damage but can interfere with her spell casting.
Ultair has just to offer a black sword and bad attitude.

I’ve found a creature to assist in your struggles against the Cube denizens. Moon Dogs, native to Elysium and the realm of Isis. They are the bane of evil creatures. Their magical baying will nullify the defensive “shield” protecting the denizens.

Vanguard could challenge SoulThorn’s entity to summon Moon Dogs, thus saving precious spell points for the spell casters.
He has a pretty high Wisdom score, so it might work.
Granted, I don’t really know how/if intelligent weapons function in that way.

We could work out some mechanics.
